All that Glitter isn't Gold

Were you watching the royal wedding? I watched it later, not live though.

It was fantastic, and all fancy like. William and Kate look so happy.
But what I noticed is that one part of the wedding William was looking very unhappy. I think he was remembering his Mom, Princess Diana.
I wonder if they like having thousands of people watching. It would give me the creeps. And I bet the paparazzi is as annoying as hell sometimes. But I think that William and Kate will be good King and Queen. ( If they do become one one day.)

Good Days.

It is  a bright and sunny day in B.C. right now. Oh, and by the way, the Canucks won!!!! They won 2-1 in overtime. :)
Today has been a fabolous day. One reason is that my Dad won a contest at his work, and won a MP3 player. He gave it to me! Its one of those wireless kind, like a Bluetooth. But its still nice.

Tomorrow my dear blog readers, I shall wake up at 7:45 and join my friends in the morning school run-club. Some people might hate getting up early ( I DO!) , but the running makes it worth it.

Only 3 more days of BEDA to go!

BEDA: DAY 25

I HATE the Chicago Blackhawks! AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGHHH

You don't know this, but I am a bit of a hockey enthusiast. I don't play, I just watch the NHL games. ( For my followers out of Canada and the States, NHL stands for National Hockey League.) I support the Vancouver Canucks.  And they are DEFINITELY the best Canadian team.  Sadly though, they have never won the Stanley Cup. ( The biggest and most important hockey trophy in the NHL.) But I am REALLY hoping that they will win this season.

In the playoff, two teams battle it out. 7 games, first one to win 4 is on to the next round. Vancouver is always against Chicago. And they've ALWAYS lost. Last year, Chicago won the the Stanley Cup!
So this year, naturally, Vancouver is against Chicago. And Vancouver was doing GREAT! They had won 3 games in a row. But then Chicago won 3 games in a row. Vancouver got pulverised.

Tuesday is the last game! If Vancouver doesn't win, I'm going to be very disappointed.

Thank-you for listening to my ranting. :)

BEDA: DAY 24

Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a good Easter! I just recently watched the movie Hop, which is about an energetic bunny who is about to be crowned The Easter Bunny.

I began to wonder about other childhood myths: The Tooth Fairy, Santa... Those were the days. When you could become ecstatic when someone mentions Christmas, when you lose a tooth... It was good to be a little kid wasn't it?

BEDA DAY 19

Today I am going to the movies with my Dad. My Dad had free tickets, and he asked me if I wanted to go. My Dad is usually at work during the day ( on weekdays) and I usually don't see him. So I took the opportunity!

Can't write much, as I'm going right now.

BEDA DAY 18: Potter

I remember when I finished reading HP7. The emotions I felt about it being over, and all the deaths... Sometimes I wonder, what would  I be like if I hadn't read it? Maybe not too different, but different. I wouldn't be writing this blog, and I wouldn't be a nerdfighter, and just many other things.
I remember 2007 when Deathly Hallows came out. I wasn't reading Harry Potter then. I recall watching the news  and it showed people lining outside bookstores, waiting for the book. And I though if a book could be on the news, it was probably good. And boy was I right.

I just couldn't stop reading. Harry Potter is... I don't know. There's no word to describe it. All I can say is: THANK YOU JO!!!

It Saturday, and I hope you all enjoy your weekend!

BEDA DAY 13: Hunger Games Movie

I am a mega Hunger Games fan, and if you are too, you probably know that The Hunger Games movie release date is March 23 2012.

They casted Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, and Liam Hemsworth. I think they should have casted new actors for the roles, like they did with Harry Potter, and not adults. But I guess there's nothing to about it now.

The movie rating is PG-13, even though a lot of people wanted it to be R. I don't really know what to think about the rating. I mean, as long as they stay true to the book, and don't ruin it, I think it should be a great movie!

( I know I haven't tracked how many emails I've received and how many books I've read for a while, but my computer DIED, and my list was saved on my computer. I ad  written version somewhere, but I can't find it. Once I find it, ( I'm sure it will pop up somewhere) I'll update you guys!

Playground Games

So I was recently inspired to write a blog about the kinds of games my friends and I would play.

So, I remember from around Gr.1 -Gr.2 we'd just invent little games, like "princess" or "fashion show" and sometimes we'd kick around a ball.
Then I remember being fondly attracted to jump rope. We'd do all these rhymes and songs that my friends and I would sing.
I also remember in grade 4, there was this bar where my friends would just sit on and we'd talk,do flips, ad watch other people play soccer.
There was this other game called " Grounders" which you played on the playground. The IT person had to walk around the playground trying to tag people with his/her eyes closed( eyes are open on the ground). Also, IT person could call "GROUNDERS!" and if someone was on the ground, he/she would be it( but only if IT person is NOT on the ground). Another thing was "sliders" and "bridgers" and IT person could call out those, and if someone was on the slide or the bridge(we had a bridge on my playground) that person would be it. But our school had to ban the game, because one time, IT person fell off the playground and hurt herself VERY badly.
Then around grade 5, playing* on the playground wasn't that "cool" anymore so we'd just sit on the grass, or walk around the field talking, and just hanging out. To think about it, that pretty much what we do now. :)
That's all for today blog!

* actually, playing on the playground wasn't that cool, unless you were like hanging out, or swinging on the swings. What I'm trying to say is that around when I was 10, most people didn't play ( by that I mean games like "Tag") games that much.
